On May 6, 2022, Florida Governor Ron DeSantis signed the Home Hardening Tax Exemption relief bill. For the first time ever, it will make impact-resistant windows, doors, and garage doors, TAX FREE for two years, starting July 1, 2022. Florida sales tax is 6% and the bill is estimated to put $462M of buying power back in the hands of Florida homeowners.

While this bill only applies to impact-resistant material costs, excluding labor, permits, and other job costs, in an effort to aid Florida homeowners in the hardening of their home, NewSouth is offering impact windows & doors completely tax free.
